I checked my mail about 5 minutes after I posted that! Hopefully... dad's still deciding. As usual :P

That was my feeling totally. Much as i loved what i heard of the band the album completely blew me away. To be honest not sure whether the Brian Blessed bit really works for me wherever it is and i thought it sounded more like a lead in to No Compromise than relating to the previous track too. Minor details however, i bloody love it!!

The thing is, the band's mission statement seems to be from day one "If we can't do it to the highest possible standard don't bother". The musicianship is great, the production is great and the packaging is absolutely fantastic! Few bands can have come out with a complete package like this without any sort of industry funding and it's totally justified our faith in Pythia. They have delivered, now let everyone know about it!!! :D

Excellent, glad everyone is enjoying the album.
And yeah tom has hit the nail on the head here, all along since we very first started this band it has been about not compromising, not taking 2nd best and not doing things by halves. The songs, the sound/production, the artwork, the live show etc we all want to be as good as it possibly can be. The plan was (and still is) to throw everything into this band and see what we can achieve. Blessed, Jacob Hansen, Hayley Madden etc all our first choices for guest, producer and artwork respectively. It hasnt been cheap but thanks to you lot buying t-shirts, coming to the shows etc we were able to make the album we wanted and we are all very proud of the result and all feel it is easily the best album any of us have been involved with.
Hopefully come the 12th oct, the rest of the world will enjoy Pythia too ;-)

I think the world will enjoy the album as much as we do. I think it says a lot that despite the fairly small crowd at Manchester, I'd say around a quarter of the people there bought copies of the album, and several waited round for you guys to sign them (although Tim's choice of post gig music did seem to clear them all out fairly rapidly ;) )

You might be able to stay at mine but I have school in the morning, so you'll have to bugger off early :P And I'll have to make sure it's okay with the parents.

I received my CD yesterday, which was a lovely surprise as I hadn't been expecting it so soon, and I gave it a listen last night and again today in the car to and from work, and- wow, what an album! Although you obviously have a sound all your own, I've got to say that I was reminded in a couple of places of Xandria, both by the gorgeous melodies and (some) of Emily's vocals- which in my book is no bad thing, as when Lisa was their vocalist they were one of my favourite bands (it remains to be seen if they'll stay so with their new vocalist!). I like the fact that there's no ballad, it makes a refreshing change, and when you can end an album with a track as strong as No Compromise, well...

The design and artwork are absolutely stunning too; you must all be so proud (as we the fans are proud!) to be flying the flag for the UK - it's high time we had a UK band that can match any of the big names on the scene.

PS What have I missed, what's happening on October 12th? is it some sort of official launch party or something?

Pezza you naive young fool. Everyone misses lectures at Uni. The trick is to arrange with someone else on the course so they let you copy their notes from the lectures you miss that day. :D

First year doesn't even need that kind of planning!! The main point of first year is to condition the liver for 2nd and 3rd year and to eat nothing but pizza and noodles.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say - got the Album through the door a couple of days and been giving it hard rotation.
First saw you guys at Bloodstock after wandering into Sophie's tent after not being impressed with Arch Enemy and saw you guys setting up - stuck around and glad we did!

And gutted i missed the gig in Manchester on Monday - since i'm only up the road.
