From my basic French I can only deduce that's a quite good review. Makes comment of their being no ballad on the album (not noted as a particularly bad thing simply mentioned) and praises the artwork and overall production.

That's as much as I could work out though.

A quick play with google language tools gives this translation.............

After a nice intro with Latin-sounding choruses, we enter the heart of the matter of the classic gothic metal Pythia.
The songs are very rhythmic, and Ultra Symphonic. The parties alternated between keyboards symphonic melodic Nightwish and the classical piano adds a special dimension to the dreamlike music, taking the listener into the wild lands from the imagination of the group.
The scratchy guitars between riffs and solos pêchus clever, just add the weight and the whole side of heavy metal. Above it all, a lyrical female voice, high in the treble, but soft and pleasant to listen.

The whole is reminiscent of the improbable meeting between Sonata Arctica and Nightwish (Tarja era), where we also feel strong influences. The chorus in the background give the scale to the powerful voice of Emily. The production is good, the sound is impeccable. The pieces are a bit repetitive, however, built on the same pattern. An element me a little puzzled, I can not say whether more or less ... In an album of such music, there is always a beautiful ballad to calm things down and allow some breathing room. Here, in "Beneath The Veiled Embrace", there is none. That's heavy, from beginning to end. Strength or weakness, depending on each ...

However, when Emily Alice, Mediaeval Baebes, began a project heavy metal, it gives a more than satisfactory! Very well executed, well produced, and the cover artwork on the CD are wonderful, this group deserves much attention. Beautiful discovery.

Too busy enjoying it to post reviews on it. :D

I was expecting it to be superb, but its even better than I hoped.

The only thing I'd change would be to have Army of the Damned as the last track instead of second to last - that way it ends with Brian Blessed reading the poem, whereas now the next song kicks in as soon as he finishes reading which I found a bit jarring.

I quite like having No compromise come in as soon as Brians speech finishes . but yeah have really enjoyed the album and it was sooo much better than i think any of us had hoped .

That was my feeling totally. Much as i loved what i heard of the band the album completely blew me away. To be honest not sure whether the Brian Blessed bit really works for me wherever it is and i thought it sounded more like a lead in to No Compromise than relating to the previous track too. Minor details however, i bloody love it!!

The thing is, the band's mission statement seems to be from day one "If we can't do it to the highest possible standard don't bother". The musicianship is great, the production is great and the packaging is absolutely fantastic! Few bands can have come out with a complete package like this without any sort of industry funding and it's totally justified our faith in Pythia. They have delivered, now let everyone know about it!!! :D
