OK guys, It's time to put your money where your mouth is!

The Preorder scheme is launched!

http://m1.awfhost.co.uk/pythia/shop.html

Most of you know this anyway but pre-ordering the album will help us get it out there. Please spread the word and try and get everyone to invest in the future of PYTHIA.

Much love

Emily x

Ok I'm going to back this scheme purely to help PYTHIA. Although this system has its faults. But hey lets raise money for these wonderful people and make PYTHIA have a bright future.

Dear Mistress Emily/serpant goddess, I've enjoyed listening to the tracks on MYSPACE, heres a question that might seem a little naive, can any of the PYTHIAN blokes sing and if they can do you think it would be benificial to you or the band if you had some help with the vocals? I just wondered how it would sound if you had a male voice to bounce off? I don't mean that you need help but maybe it would provide a contrast in some songs? You know Em I'm trying to learn.

me and tim can sing a bit but no male vocals in Pythia, thats the rule.
I thought Nightwish lost some of the magic once Marco joined and started singing as well so early on me and marc decided no male vocals in Pythia.
I think the contrast between the female voice and the heavy guitars is what makes this kind of music so 'captivating', 'unique', 'love/hate' etc.

I agree, most femme fronted metal bands usually have atleast a growler or small male backing vocals which takes away part of the fact that is FEMME fronted metal :P

I do think that it will be interesting one day if you write a song that needs both a male and female voice. My reference is MEATLOAF who often used a female voice to bounce off. Don't dicount it out of hand as I feel that in some circumstances it could be a useful musical tool. But then again I'm just a listener and not a musician.
