Hi Goddess

I was just wondering what it was that drawed you to the world of Metal music & Pythia? Was it the new golden challenge for you? If so I wish you good luck on this adventure.

I have heard you in the Medieval Baebes & loved them.

Now comes the very strange part of my write up to you. You could say that it was like a calling to you Great Goddess.

About last month at this time I was totaly unaware of you & the bands that you are in.

About this time last month I went in to the Castle museum in Norwich & I heard the most wonerful meditive celtic folk music that I have ever heard. (I have heard quite a few) I went up to the counter & asked the lady on the till who it was playing. Her anwer came back.

'They are called the Medieval Baebes.'

I then asked if they had a copy for sale to which she replied.

'No. Weve only got this copy & I not selling it because I like it.'

OK I thought. I will buy a copy else where & I did.

I went to see the Nightwish concert & befor hand a friend & myself went into a shop & met Andy.

He told us about Pythia & of how you are also in the Medieval Baebes.

It was like BANG. I was more than just a bit surprised, I was shocked. I'm sure that Andy can tell you of my reaction to finding out about this.

Then I find out about The Celtic Ledgends. Which Im planning to look more in to.

Ive heard the song on the Celtic Ledgend website & I liked it.

So whats the chance of this happening, all with in one month. I'm more than a bit amazed, as this has never happened to me before.

I shall call this last month, the month of Emily. :D

Best wishes

Eddie

It was meant to be Eddie!

I have been in the Baebes for about 7 years now and I love my fellow baebes and the music. I've been all over the world and laughed more than any person should be allowed to.

Celtic Legend is also fun porject as I get to make music videos and write music with Chris Payne who's a fantastic composer.

But I have to say PYTHIA is really my favourite as I love the music more than life and working with the bearded wonders!

Nice to meet you!
x

So glad to hear that you are having a great time. Not to mention traveling all over the world.
I can only imagin what that was like. Country after country. Must have been wonderful

I just hope that soon it will be the lads of Pythia traveling around the world with you, in concert

I keep my fingers crossed for you all.

Best wishes

Eddie

I got into Mediaeval Baebes 2 days ago. I was looking at all the classical stuff and saw the Salva Nos album and just had to buy it. I've been playing it non-stop since!

And yes I do realise that makes me sound silly, 'cause I should have bought that album ages ago :P

I've been into the Baebes for a few years. saw them (and the Goddess) live at Joust 2006. Shame that Joust 2007 got cancelled because of the floods, and now it looks like there will be no more Joust? :(

Anyhoo, the Baebes are wonderful, and so are Emely's own projects. I'm glad that there are people who bring medieval-inspired music into the modern world. There's an aura of magic and fairy tale in that music, which I love. I also love the power and the dynamics of metal, so Pythia is a perfect band in that sense. :)

Hey Lady, you said, makes you sound silly, now your being silly. Silly, are people who say things like, I only like metal ( DUH! ) The wider expanse of music you`re into, the more taste you`ve got. :P If your mates are all into RnB :x or what is now called
Indie, they are following trends. Its on Radio One, easy accessable, in the chart for a month, never to be remembered again. Dispoable pop. I`m in my 40s and I`ve ordered my first Baebes album today, so you beat me. :o The fact you even bought it shows your prepared to experiment with your musical taste. If you keep up that attitude you`ll enjoy life a lot more. There uncle Hornet knows

Couldn't agree with you more!! Following trends really isn't for me either. I'm bored to tears with those Radio 1 indie-rock bands that are coming at us from all directions and have 1-album careers.

Thiers nothing quite like experimenting with your musical taste and having a wider musical knowledge than your trend-following mates! :D

Well, I've always been interested in classical music. When I was seven, I'd go in the car with my dad and switch the radio to Classic FM! I've also started to appreciate it more now because I know that the music I listen to is heavily influenced by it. I also love medieval music so I think the Baebes are amazing!

There's a girl in my school who also listens to the Baebes! I was surprised and happy that there's someone else my age who listens to them!

have a look on their myspace page mate - got a tour this winter.

I've booked to go and see them in Buxton.

Must admit that while I mainly listen to rock and metal, the baebes are perfect for listening to when you need to chill out and relax. I think I prefer Celtic Legend (although it does depend on my mood at the time) as it has a slightly darker feel to it.
