MFVF is a Metal festival dedicated to the female singers, existing since 2003. It takes place every year in Belgium, and since a few years at Oktoberhallen in Wieze.
Success of the festival cames from its unique concept, but also from bands' appearances, like EPICA, NIGHTWISH, AFTER FOREVER, TARJA, LEAVES' EYES, TRISTANIA and many others.

MFVF7 DATE : 17th October 2009 (18/10 tbc)

Bands confirmation:
AUTUMN
AMBERIAN DAWN
FLOWING TEARS
MANIC MOVEMENT
UNSUN
MIDNATTSOL
WHYZDOM
KIVIMETSAN DRUIDI and more later...

Personnal fellings: For me MFVF is a really really great festival with a good organisation , Wieze is not far from Brussel and the fest hall is very awesome.
Every years they organise a Warm Up show for bands who want to perform at the next edition (maybe Pythia would try the warm up!! lol) . I think it's the best festival with female metal bands around the world.
(Leaves' Eyes chose MFVF to record their new DVD.)

The lineup keeps getting better - Amberian Dawn, Kivimetsan Druidi, DORO, and a load more.

Think I',m going to have to take up armed robbery - I definitely want to try and go to this now. :?

Would be nice - Tarja was great at Doros anniversary show in December. Doro does seem to be good at getting high quality guests for her shows :)

If they announce Tarja will appear then that means Grace will be buying a ticket

Ooh, Van Canto! I hope this band comes down to the UK some day and I get to watch them and sing "diddly diddly dum dum" along to their songs.

Also, glad to see our own To-Mera getting on the bill.

Cheers for the link.
Laughed at first when I heard them, but really grows on you. And then you realise the skills required.......and the respect dial goes up a notch or two...

I wasn't familiar with Van Canto, but that 'Wishmaster' was absolutely hilarious - it's the serious way that the guy that looks like The Rock stares into the camera as he's doing his 'riddly diddly' bit...but like Arcanis said, you can appreciate the skill.

They must be really strange to see live.
