I know that I have something in common with Mistress Emily/Serpant Goddess and that is a love of ghost stories and things of a strange phenomena. I thought that I would start this thread that may be of interest to everyone and most people can contribute. Mine is a true account of a very strange event that happened to me last year.
I have a friend who is also in the the Fish and Chip business and he asked my boss for permission to borrow me and let me look after he's shop while he went on holiday. My boss said 'yes' and when a suitable fee was agreed I went to look after my freinds shop for 2 weeks. I ran he's shop as I normally do without any difficulty as I can run any chippy in the country without any problem. One night after work I decided to stay in the flat upstairs instead of trekking home as I was quite tired that night. My bedroom was at the end of a long corridor past the kitchen and the bathroom. After watching telly for a bit I went to bed. Everything was in darkness and all was still. I was on the verge of sleep when suddenly the bathroom light came on. I didn't see it was the bathroom directly but I could hear the plink of the little peice of plastic tapping against the wall, you know that peice on the end of the string for the light fitting. Well then it went off, then on again then off. It continued in this vein for about an hour. I was shitting myself. I didn't want to leave as I would have to pass the bathroom on the way out. Eventually the on/off stopped and I fell asleep.
Next day I spoke to a member of staff who had worked at the shop for 17 years. 'Barbara, theres a problem upstairs.' 'Its the bathroom', she replied. OH god!! she knows, thought I.
She then told me that some years ago the previous owner of the shop had died of a heart attack in the bathroom upstairs and when he was in the throws of pain was trying to signal for help using the bathroom cord. God how I was disturbed by her revelation.
I never slept in that flat again. This is a true account.

If PYTHIANS have any other ghostly accounts, then I would love to read them.

The only Pythian ghost i'm aware of is the mysterious tale of the phantom keyboard player. Legend has it he haunts the studio used by the band and his ghostly tunes can be heard playing in the background of the band's recordings to this day!

Thought possibly that there would be a better response to this thread. Maybe Mistress Emily/serpant goddess has a ghostly encounter to tell us about? After all she's been in so many gothic buildings.

Omg Simon! That story sounds really creepy! :| Though I'm skeptical about all that kind of stuff, those stories still give me the heebie-jeebies! If that actually was the case though...it's quite sad to think that his spirit has to replay the last agonizing moments of his life (i'm guessing) for an hour every night, surely he has something better to do?

Hell, if I was a ghost I'd be out there throwing things around and making people float and stuff :D

Dear Ravenfall, on this occassion I think that it only happened annually but I didn't return to find out.
I think that you sound as if you would be a very scary ghost. Myself if I haunted anyone would be more playful unless I was haunting PEZZA and then I would really shit him up!
Thanks for reading my story from the TWILIGHT ZONE (somewhere in Birmingham).

In that case I'd better possess somebody! Can you imagine one of the undead upon the stage. Would be like a seen from the EXORCIST!! Ha Ha.
Mind you some Baebes fans are like NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD!
Lets get back to the thread, surely there must be another PYTHIAN out there who has had something strange happen to them??

Marc Dyos bought me a beer.

Ghost-wise, nothing has happened to me. We used to pretend things were happening when we were little kids, we'd always play tricks on each other and try and convince each other that strange things were happening.

Apparantly when my Mum was pregnant with my younger Sister she was going through some pain in the bathroom, and when she opened her eyes and looked up she saw a bright light hovering infront of her. She's convinced to this day that it was her Mum trying to look after her, who died a couple of years before. That's the only ghostly thing i can report. That, and the Pacman thing, but Pez has already stolen that joke.
