Epica confirmed as the other headliner.

Sirenia have pulled out and are replaced with Krypteria

Quote:
Yes it's sad that SIRENIA, but KRYPTERIA is a good replacement.

The headliner for Saturday is EPICA.

I know that some of you will say again them !
The band promised to do the best show ever, introducing the new album, build decorations, using fireworks, special guests etc...

After Within Temptation announced no show in 2009, the split of AF, Leave's Eyes on tour in the US, Evanescence not available etc.....EPICA is the headliner !

Well, I have to say that was an amazing festival, and the VIP ticket was well worth buying.

Got to meet loads of bands/lovely singers and saw some amazing performances.

Van Canto were amazing - wasnt sure if it was going to be madness or genius (they have a drummer, two singers and the rest of the music comes from guys making the guitar and bass sounds), but was definitely genius, and they were really nice guys to chat to as well.
Whyzdom were one of the first bands on the first day and they were amazing.

Far too many great bands to name them all, but I came back having blown most of my cash on CD's (and maybe a bit on booze too).

A fantastic weekend - and if Pythia play next year then that will be even better !

I agree that Whyzdom were superb. I'd been listening to them over the past few weeks so i was really looking forward to them anyway. The debut album is top quality stuff. The festival was great, but a very, very long day if you have nowhere to sit! I managed 5 minutes of sit-down time on one of the merch tables just before Midnattsol.

I wasn't there for day 2 but i checked out Van Canto performing Wishmaster on Youtube and it looked great! Definitely one band i'd love to see.

See the Pythian Army there next year!

Thats where VIP is good - we got a seating area to rest at between bands.

Oh and sorry to upset you Pezza - the singer from Deadlock was lovely when I met her.

Its going to take ages to sort out the photos. Uploaded ones from the night before, and me with various singers on myspace, but got 2000 shots of bands performing to sort out and that will take ages.

I've just sorted a few of Tarja though to keep Grace happy...

No problem. VIP 100 Euros again, gone for that.

Me too :D Extra 8 euros to pay via paypal, but still works out at around £100.

Well worth doing VIP as you get to meet a lot more bands for photos, signings etc, plus a nice seating area (very useful during long days).
