Yes, we have high hopes for Pythia. The hardest part at the moment is making sure as many people as possible get to hear their music as it's not always easy for a new band without a large label behind them to get the publicity. I'm really confident that once people get to hear the music many will enjoy it and hopefully momentum will build. It's great to get support from a Country like Finland that has such a great tradition in this area of music!

Humble thx 4 your inspiring compliments.. Aren't you being a bit modest though ? Our rock tradition is on the short side and owes a lot to UK rockers of the 70s who along with the US rockers of the 50s/60s set the ball rolling. We got inspired by them and did it our way like most things.

Oh yes, overall that's certainly the case. I was thinking more of the Female fronted metal scene. Certainly i see Finland as one of the Countries that will love Pythia and it would be nice to take off over there, as well as everywhere else of course!!

And hope you'll have a great time next Saturday tomsbfc! I'd probably tried to get tickets there too if I weren't moving houses (with quite a distance between them too) next week.

Hi Hornet, thx for the 'hello from the hornet's nest' if that was what your were saying. I've been wondering about that cheesecake 'utility', I was even afraid I would accidentally use it by mistake but since I haven't spotted it yet I guess I haven't loitered about enough. Yet. At least it's not one of those smelly piles of doggie do they are armoured with on some other forums.

It amazes me from such a small country as Finland, how many excellent singers & bands have been born.

Pythia is super! I do wish they'll make it real big! Well to me, like to many of us here, they already are...HUGE!

I saw an interview with Battlelore recently and Kaisa thinks that during the long, cold winters the mood is set perfectly for people to listen to and make metal music. I can certainly believe that!

I bought a documentry DVD online today called "Promised Land of Heavy Metal" and it's all about the Finnish metal scene. There are loads of interviews with the likes of Nightwish, Children of Bodom and many more, including the President of Finland! Also loads of DVD extras. When it turns up i'll watch it and report back but i'm hoping it'll be really good!
