PYTHIA FORUM

Greets from Finland to all you metal heads on this forum with an addiction to majestic metal! I fell in like with Pythia at first sight and incredibly good sound! Other similar bands I like include Nightwish (with Tarja), Amberian Dawn, and earlier also Within Temptation who got me mesmerised with this particular genre with their Mother Earth album but to whom I haven't really listened to of late with their latest album going a bit too mainstream for me.
I myself also got into soprano singing but I've been a music buff all my life and play the keyboard and write my own music.

I'm eager to see if Pythia could become what we lost in Nightwish when Tarja left the band. I hope Pythia can live up to my high expectations! Rock on and rock hard!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum, loving the enthusiasm! xD I agree, Mother Earth is by far their best album Hopefully see you at one of the gigs, if you can be bothered to travel that far:P

Ah, someone from Suomi! Welcome to the forum. Is it true that in your country of 5 million people, there are 3 million metal heads?? No wonder the best metal comes from there.

Yes, it's probably true and some in the lot of the headbanging 3 million might still be in diapers lol... or nappies like you Britons say.
And thanks for the compliment on behalf of my fellow countrymen but maybe we can give a bit of credit to a few Anglo-Saxons too haha. Personally I think AC/DC is the cream of the crop and there are no ills their music wouldn't cure.
Of course, not forgetting Pythia who are gathering momentum and about to lift off and fly high!!!

A belated welcome to the forum, i'm sure you are going to be a great addition to our army! It's wonderful how everytime we get a new person on here they seem to come from a different part of the world. Appreciate what you say about Nightwish but they are still very good and i'll be in Helsinki for them next Saturday!

Word about Pythia is spreading around the world clearly...fast!

I didn't say a whole lot about Nightwish...just that they lost a little something with the absence of Tarja....

Maybe their next album is more telling with respect to whether or not Nightwish is transforming, since Dark Passion Play was written with no knowledge of who the new vocalist would be.

I've seen the current Nightwish on stage, they were good but maybe I was a little disappointed though. Maybe it's just those high expectations of mine. They are now reserved for Pythia...
