Just think of the J as an i... TARIA. Easy! Yeah, i don't roll my R's, but the Finn's won't get offended by that!
Before the Tarja gig in 2007 i was having a few beers in the Worlds End, and some guy asked me if i "was there for Tar-JJA". Horrible! Hornet... just say Taria!

But I think Mrs Turunen sounds better, and less of a mouthful. ;)

I find it amusing that in EVERY Tarja topic on any forum theres always a debate over how to say her name :P

To think, there is probably a girl in a non-Finnish speaking country named Tarja who has to correct her teacher every time her name is said :P
